Our Philosophy
Lacon provides a variety of certifications in the agriculture and food processing sectors. We examine the entire process, from seed to the final product that reaches the consumer. For more than 20 years, Lacon has been serving its customers, using specialized agricultural inspectors. We help certified companies demonstrate and document their quality, thus allowing them to maintain their high position and increase their customers' trust in a market environment based on product safety. Lacon is not controlled by external interests and is therefore impartial and independent. Consequently, we can offer equal services to all applicants who are independent of advertising influences. Based on a reasonable fee structure and using specialized personnel, we achieve high-quality control and certification without risking the economic feasibility of certified products.
How we audit
It doesn't matter whether we call it an audit or an inspection. We focus on a well-structured approach, the most suitable inspector and the best technical prerequisites. Our inspectors are of course very well trained, have practical experience and are independent. The Lacon body has more to offer: our aim is to carry out the audit at the same level as the persons responsible from the company being certified. Files and documents are checked according to the size of the company, possible risks and conditions for compliance with the disputed points (standards). Above all, it is important to evaluate the execution in the company, which can usually be done during our visit on foot around the premises. After the audit, the person responsible from the company should be able to say that the audit was worthwhile, was solid and was carried out in a compliant atmosphere.
