Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 27, 2026
LACON LTD ("LACON", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on its website to ensure its secure and proper operation, maintain necessary user sessions and, where the visitor has provided consent, for statistical analysis and website improvement purposes.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies the LACON website may use, the purposes for which they are used and the choices available to you in relation to them.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files or sets of information stored on a user's device, such as a computer, mobile phone or tablet, when visiting a website.
Among other things, cookies allow a website to retain information relating to a user session, remember certain choices or preferences and provide functionality necessary for the secure and smooth operation of the website.
Some cookies are deleted when the browser is closed (session cookies), while others may remain on the device for a specified period of time (persistent cookies).
2. Legal framework and consent
The use of cookies and similar technologies is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection and electronic communications privacy legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and relevant electronic communications legislation.
Prior consent is not required for cookies that are strictly necessary for the provision of a service or for the secure and technically correct operation of the website, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
For non-essential cookies, such as statistical analytics cookies, LACON requests the user's consent before they are activated.
Refusing optional cookies does not prevent access to the website's essential functionality and content.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
The LACON website is based on the Frappe / ERPNext platform and may use technical cookies that are necessary for the operation of the platform, session management, security and the proper functioning of website services.
Depending on how the visitor uses the website, cookies such as the following may be used:
- sid — used to manage and identify an active user session.
- system_user — may be used by the platform to manage the user's status or type.
- user_id — may be used to identify the logged-in user.
- full_name — may be used for functions relating to the display of information about the logged-in user.
- user_lang — may be used to retain the user's language preference.
The exact use of the above cookies depends on whether the user is logged in and on the website functionality being used.
Strictly necessary cookies are not used by LACON for advertising tracking or to create an advertising profile of the visitor.
Disabling or blocking these cookies through the browser may cause problems with the operation of certain website services.
4. Analytics cookies
LACON may in the future use statistical analytics tools, including Google Analytics 4 (GA4), in order to understand how visitors use the website and to improve its content, functionality and user experience.
Information that may be collected through statistical analytics tools may include, depending on the configuration in use:
- visits and page views,
- duration and time of visits,
- general information about the device and browser,
- how the visitor reached the website,
- interactions with website pages and functionality,
- technical information required for the operation of the analytics service.
Analytics cookies are not considered strictly necessary for the operation of the website and are activated only in accordance with the user's consent choices.
5. Google Analytics
LACON plans to use Google Analytics 4, a statistical analytics service provided by Google, to collect aggregated information about the use of the website.
When the service is activated, Google Analytics may use cookies or other measurement technologies according to the website's configuration and the user's consent choices.
By way of example, Google Analytics may use cookies such as:
- _ga — used to distinguish visitors or devices for statistical analytics purposes.
- ga* — used to retain information about a session and measure website usage.
The specific cookies used, their storage duration and their technical configuration may change depending on the service settings and changes made by Google.
LACON will configure Google Analytics so that the use of analytics cookies takes place in accordance with the visitor's consent choices.
6. Google Tag Manager
LACON also plans to use Google Tag Manager ("GTM") for the technical management and activation of code and services ("tags") on the website.
Google Tag Manager is a tag management system, and its presence does not in itself mean that all possible tracking tools are activated.
Services managed through Google Tag Manager will be activated according to their category and the visitor's consent choices.
For example, if Google Analytics is managed through Google Tag Manager, its activation will take place in accordance with the consent given for statistical analytics cookies.
7. Google Consent Mode
When integrating Google services, LACON may use Google Consent Mode to manage the behaviour of Google tags according to the visitor's consent choices.
The relevant settings may include consent categories such as:
- analytics_storage — storage of information for statistical analytics purposes,
- ad_storage — storage of information for advertising purposes,
- aduserdata — use or transmission of data for online advertising purposes,
- ad_personalization — use of data for personalised advertising,
- functionality_storage — storage of information supporting website functionality,
- security_storage — storage of information relating to security and user protection.
Any optional category will be activated in accordance with the visitor's consent choices and applicable law.
8. Third-party cookies
Certain services that may be integrated into the website in the future may be provided by third parties and may use their own storage or measurement technologies.
Where such technologies are not strictly necessary for a service requested by the user, they should not be activated before the required consent has been obtained.
Third-party providers process data in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies to the extent that they act as independent data controllers.
LACON will update this Cookie Policy when significant new services or categories of cookies are introduced.
9. Cookie categories
Cookies used or potentially used on the website can be classified into the following main categories:
Strictly necessary
These are required for essential functionality, security, session management and the provision of functionality requested by the user.
They cannot be disabled through the website's consent mechanism where they are genuinely necessary for the provision of the relevant service.
Functionality
These are used to store choices or preferences that improve website functionality.
Whether consent is required depends on the specific functionality and the purpose of the storage.
Analytics
These are used to measure website traffic and understand how the website is used.
Prior consent is required before they are activated where this is required by applicable law.
Advertising and personalisation
These may be used to measure advertising activities, create audiences or personalise advertisements.
LACON does not currently use such technologies on its website. If they are introduced in the future, this Policy will be updated and the required consent will be requested before they are activated.
10. Storage duration
The storage duration of a cookie depends on its purpose and type.
Some cookies are session cookies and are deleted or cease to be valid at the end of the session or when the browser is closed.
Other cookies may remain for a longer period in order to retain particular settings or fulfil the purpose for which they were placed.
LACON seeks to retain cookies and related data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose.
For third-party services such as Google Analytics, the retention period may also depend on the settings applied to the relevant service.
11. Consent management
When optional categories of cookies are activated on the website, visitors will be given the opportunity to choose whether they wish to accept them.
Failing to make a choice, simply continuing to browse the website or closing the cookie selection mechanism does not in itself constitute consent to optional cookies.
Consent to optional cookies may be withdrawn or modified through the available cookie settings on the website.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
12. Managing cookies through your browser
Most modern browsers allow users to control, delete or block cookies through their settings.
Depending on the browser being used, users may be able to:
- see which cookies have been stored,
- delete existing cookies,
- block specific cookies,
- block third-party cookies,
- configure the browser to delete cookies when it is closed.
Completely disabling cookies may affect the proper operation of certain parts or services of the website, particularly those that require login or session maintenance.
13. Personal data and cookies
To the extent that information collected through cookies or similar technologies constitutes personal data, it is processed in accordance with LACON's Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
For more information about how LACON processes personal data, please refer to LACON's Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to the Cookie Policy
LACON may amend or update this Cookie Policy when the technologies used on the website, third-party services, processing practices or applicable legal requirements change.
The date of the latest update is stated at the beginning of this Policy.
In the event of material changes to the use of optional cookies, LACON may request visitors' consent again where required.
